Old Dominion University (ODU) football fans can mark their calendars for an exciting start to the 2024 season, as ESPN has unveiled the Monarchs’ early game lineup. The season kicks off with a notable debut on the SEC Network against South Carolina on August 31, set for a 4:15 p.m. kickoff.
Following this highly anticipated opener, ODU returns to its home turf for matchups against East Carolina on September 7 and Virginia Tech on September 14. Both home games are scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Another key game in the Monarchs’ schedule is a Thursday night clash with Georgia Southern on October 24, which will be featured on ESPN2 with a 7 p.m. start time. The schedule for the remaining games will be revealed by the Sun Belt Conference and ESPN 12 days in advance, as customary.
After finishing the previous season with a 6-7 record and a dramatic overtime loss to Western Kentucky in the Famous Toastery Bowl, the Monarchs are gearing up to make a strong impression in the new season.
