The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers have officially parted ways with offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Travis Trickett, the team announced earlier today. Trickett, who joined the program in 2023, is leaving his post after the team endured a rough stretch, losing three out of their last four games.

Head coach Tim Beck addressed the change, offering gratitude for Trickett’s contributions while revealing he will personally take over the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coaching duties for the remainder of the season.

“We appreciate everything Travis and his family have done during their time here at Coastal and wish them nothing but the best,” Beck said in a statement. “I will be taking over the duties of offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach. As head football coach, I believe this is best for our team moving forward.”

The shakeup comes at a critical time for the Chanticleers, who have struggled offensively in recent weeks. Starting quarterback Ethan Vasko has seen a dip in performance, particularly during the team's current slump. His inconsistent play led to his recent replacement by backup quarterback Noah Kim in Coastal Carolina's latest game.

The Chanticleers, who have been known for their dynamic offensive style in recent years, have faced difficulties replicating that success under Trickett. With a pivotal part of the season still ahead, Coach Beck’s decision to step in as offensive coordinator could mark a crucial turning point for the program. The Chanticleers will look to regain their form and stabilize the offense as they push through the rest of the season.

Fans will be watching closely to see how the team responds to this leadership change and whether the new coaching structure can spark a resurgence.
